Seven airlines have cancelled or delayed 84 flights at Denver International Airport Tuesday due to a strong spring storm that brought hail and early-morning thunder strikes to the Front Range.

Southwest Airlines cancelled 56 flights and delayed another 15 Tuesday morning, according to FlightAware.com.

SkyWest, GoJet, United Airlines, Air Canada, Lufthansa and Trans States together cancelled an additional four flights and delayed nine flights, FlightAware.com says.

It could have been much worse but a large hail storm just missed DIA.
